On August 22, 2025, Hubei Jinzhongde Technology Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. and the School of Chemical Engineering at Soochow University reached a cooperation agreement to jointly carry out the research and development of water-soluble acidic thin films. This material is planned to be applied in fields such as medical bandages and surgical wound suturing.
It is reported that the research and development direction of this cooperation mainly revolves around water solubility and biocompatibility, aiming to explore the potential application of new medical film materials in medical devices. The relevant research results are expected to provide new material choices for medical consumables.
Jinzhongde Technology was established in 2017, with its registered address in Xian'an District, Xianning City, Hubei Province. It mainly engages in the research and manufacturing of mechanical equipment. The School of Chemical Engineering at Soochow University has accumulated research experience in the field of polymer materials and functional films for a long time. The cooperation between both parties will rely on their respective industrial and scientific research advantages to promote joint research and development of medical materials related technologies.
At present, the project is in the research and development stage, and further progress will depend on experimental verification and application testing results.
