Inner Mongolia Zhongke Kelan invested 500 million yuan to build a PDA project with an annual output of 33000 tons of fully natural biodegradable materials. The project is led by the incubation technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and aims to achieve complete degradation of soil, compost, and marine environment. It will be put into operation in two phases starting in 2025.
According to a report from the Bioplastics Research Institute, Inner Mongolia Zhongke Kelan has invested approximately 500 million yuan in the Wuhai High tech Zone Low Carbon Industrial Park to build a PDA project with an annual output of 33000 tons of all natural biodegradable materials. The project will be implemented in two phases, with the first phase producing 3000 tons per year and the second phase producing 30000 tons per year; The filing has been completed on August 1, 2025, and the planned construction period is from August 2025 to December 2029.
Founded in February 2024, Zhongke Kelan was incubated from the National Engineering Center for Engineering and Ecological Plastics, Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its founder is Dr. Ji Junhui. Its core product is the internationally leading third-generation biodegradable plastic PDA (Polymers Bio degradable in All Nature Environment), which can realize complete degradation in soil, compost, ocean and other natural environments.
On May 13, 2025, Beijing Zhongke Kelan New Material Technology Co., Ltd. announced that it had received tens of millions of yuan in angel round financing. This round of financing is led by Junke Danmu, followed by Linge Venture Capital, and Yibai Capital serves as the exclusive financial advisor. This round of funds will be used for business aspects such as production line expansion, market promotion, research and development investment, and team building.
